The legendary South African batter had a total of 1650 runs after 32 innings, a mark Gill was able to surpass after playing a knock of 121 in 133 balls. Coming into the game, Gill had a total of 1590 runs in 31 innings and missed Amla’s record of the most runs after 30 and 31 innings, respectively.
