Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who is the only person to have applied for the position of India men’s cricket team head coach, is all set to be interviewed on Tuesday, according to a report in The Indian Express. Rahul Dravid, who is the head coach of the team at the moment, will finish his tenure at the end of India’s campaign at the 2024 T20 World Cup.
BCCI had invited applications for the post in mid-May and the deadline was May 27, the day after the IPL final, which the Kolkata Knight Riders won under the mentorship of Gambhir.
In case Gambhir takes up the Indian head coach job, he will have to quit his position in the KKR management, something which might not help the franchise, who underwent a complete transformation under him this year.

Gambhir will be interviewed by the Cricket Advisory Committee online, which comprises of former India cricketers Ashok Malhotra, Jatin Paranjape and Sulakshana Naik.
