A Soldier Is Never Off Duty! Indian Army Officer Saves Life Of Critically Ill Passenger Onboard Goa-Chandigarh Flight

A soldier is never off duty. Living up to the ethos of the Indian Army Major Simrat Rajdeep Singh, saved the life of a critically ill passenger when he was travelling from Goa to Chandigarh. Major Singh, who is currently posted at Western Command Hospital n Chandimandir, was onboard the IndiGo flight when fellow passenger suffered a medical emergency.

When the flight took off at around 5:45 pm from Goa, one passenger complaint of uneasiness, reported The Times of India. The Indian Army officer came forward to help the patient. Major Singh resuscitated the patient. The officer also requested for an emergency landing at Mumbai.
Indian Army’s Western Command lauded Major Singh for his actions. “#InServiceOfNation Maj Simrat Rajdeep Singh of #WesternCommandHospital,Chandimandir while on board @Indigo6E724 from Goa to Chandigarh saved life of a 27 year old critically ill patient. He resuscitated the patient & requested for an emergency landing at #Mumbai. #WeCare,” the Western Command tweeted.
