The Indian Men’s Cricket team clinched the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday, ending a 13-year wait for an ICC Cricket World Cup trophy. Led by Rohit Sharma, the team secured a thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, to claim the championship. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended their congratulations to the team.

Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankar also expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Team India for their “stupendous performance.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, echoing the nation’s joy, said, “What an incredible victory and achievement by Indian cricket team!
