Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were involved in a war of words after the fixture between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday (May 1). After the match, a video surfaced where the India legends were seemingly fighting over an issue. After the handshakes between the players, Gambhir walked towards Kohli.
Kohli was seen explaining something to the LSG coach when other players and coaches surrounded them. Gambhir seemed to be upset over something. LSG captain KL Rahul and coach Vijay Dahiya took Kohli away from Gambhir.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the reverse fixture by 18 runs. Opting to bat first, RCB put on a total of 126/9 on the board. Kohli played a key role in the win and made a contribution of 31. He fully supported Faf du Plessis, who scored 44 off 40.

None of the other batters could breach the 20-run mark. At the halfway stage, it didn’t look like the total would prove to be enough. But the RCB bowlers bowled to perfection and kept their team in the game right from ball 1.
Mohammed Siraj got the early wicket of Kyle Mayers in the very first over. Aayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda and Nicholas Pooran also departed early, leaving LSG reeling at 38/5 in 7 overs.
Marcus Stoinis tried to bring the home team back into the game but got dismissed for 13 in the 11th over. The wicket of Krishnappa Gowtham in the next over all but ended LSG’s chase.
