A 15-year-old girl lost her life after falling from the fourth-floor terrace of her family’s residence in Sector 11 on Monday evening. According to preliminary investigations by the police, it is suspected that Palak was attempting to take a selfie when she stumbled over a water pipe and accidentally fell over the railing.
The victim, Palak Choudhary, was a student at a prominent English medium school in the city. Palak’s father is an employee of a private firm and her family had been residing in the Noida Sector 11 house for several years.
Sharing the details of the incident, ACP Sushil Kumar Ganga Prasad said, “Late on Monday night, we received information from Metro Hospital authorities regarding the death of a girl who had fallen from the fourth floor of her building. Despite the efforts made in the emergency room, her injuries were too severe, and she could not be saved.”
