No NEET Paper Leak, Results of Over 1,500 Students Awarded Grace Marks To Be Re-Examined: NTA DG

NTA DG Subodh Kumar Singh at a press conference today said that integrity of this examination was not compromised throughout the country and there was no paper leak. While addressing the press conference, NTA Director General said that results of over 1,500 students awarded grace marks in NEET-UG to be re-examined

NTA Director General has denied the claims of paper leak while addressing a press conference today. Subodh Kumar Singh, NTA DG said that there was no paper leak and the whole exam process has been very transparent and integrity of this examination was not compromised throughout the country

While addressing the alleged irregularities, he said that our committee met and they perused all the details of the centres and the CCTVs. They found that at some centres time was lost and felt that the students should be compensated for that.

He said that the committee thought they could address the grievances and compensate the students hence the marks of some students were increased.

NTA had declared the NEET Results on June 4 and many students got 718 and 719 marks which raised concerns among students and experts. Addressing this issue, the NTA chief said that the concerns of some students have surfaced because certain candidates got 718 and 719 marks and 6 candidates became toppers. He said that the NTA has analysed all things carefully and released the results.

The problem was only limited to six centre and out of 24 lakh students, only 1600 students faced the issue. The education ministry has set up a four-member panel to review the grace marks awarded to more than 1,500 candidates in the NEET Exam. The committee will be able to submit their recommendation within a week. The decision to set up a panel comes amid the multiple allegations of inflation of marks which led to 67 candidates sharing AIR 1
