French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati goes viral after his ‘big’ bulge costs him Olympic gold medal

BDE — but too big.

French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati went viral after his “big” bulge got him cut from the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday.

As the 21-year-old athlete vaulted himself into the air, his package — which was highlighted by his skin-tight uniform — hit the crossbar, causing it to crash to the floor along with his dreams of winning an Olympic medal.

While the botched attempt, seen here, did not automatically disqualify Ammirati, his score of 5.60 was too low to allow him to move on.

The devastating blow came after he won gold at the World Athletics U20 Championships in 2022.

Fans watched the bizarre episode play out in slow motion at the qualifying track and field event — and they immediately took to the internet with memes about it.

“21-year-old French pole-vaulter Anthony Ammirati may have lost out on Olympic Gold, but I see big things in his future,” one X user quipped.

“oh he brought that baguette to the games,” another fan cheekily commented.

“He’s going to stroll out of this Olympics with more ladies’ phone numbers than medals!” a third viewer joked.

While his bulge hitting the bar did not automatically eliminate Ammirati, seen Saturday at the 2024 Olympics men’s pole vault qualification, he did not score high enough to move on.

A fourth amused fan commented, “When big d–k energy has an actual big d–k.”

“The one time in your life you wish your pen15 was smaller,” added another.

Ammirati has not publicly addressed his head-turning loss, but France’s Envol sports club celebrated his efforts with an Instagram post dedicated to him on Saturday.

“We are proud of you @anthony_ammirati despite the last two weeks of being physically disturbed you managed to show up, even though we are frustrated like you for that 5m70 bar,” the club, founded by Olympian Renaud Lavillenie, wrote.
