The royal couple’s big day at Westminster Abbey made worldwide headlines, with royal-watchers captivated by the spectacle and pageantry.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a picture to mark their 13th wedding anniversary.
The previously unseen photo was posted on X and shows the couple after their marriage in 2011.
Photographer Millie Pilkington commented: “Happy wedding anniversary! Can’t believe it’s been 13 years. Remember this moment so well. Sending you both much love in this special day.”
Kate is pictured in her dress – by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen – while William is in his Irish Guards tunic.
The pair married at Westminster Abbey on 29 April 2011 and had their first child, Prince George, in July 2013.
It’s been a difficult start to the year for the couple, with both Kate and the King having treatment for cancer.
The Princess of Wales revealed her health condition last month after speculation about why she hadn’t been seen for a while.
She praised her husband for his support during “an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family” and said having him “by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance”.
The princess said her diagnosis had been a huge shock, with the couple “doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family”.
William was back on public duties after the Easter break and Prince Louis, their youngest child, turned six on Tuesday.
Princess Charlotte celebrates her ninth birthday this Thursday.
There was also controversy earlier this year after the royals released an edited photo, sparking wild conspiracy theories that prompted Kate to issue a statement.
She apologised for any confusion, saying “like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing”.
