North Korea appears to once again be transferring weapons to Russia by sea after a pause since last month, according to military analysts.

In its daily briefing, the Institute for the Study of War cited North Korea-focused outlet NK Pro as saying it had seen satellite imagery indicating that a cargo ship resembling the Russian Lady R had arrived at North Korea’s Rajin port.

It looked to be “loaded with containers that crews will likely fill with arms for delivery back to Russia”, the ISW said, citing the outlet.

According to the NK Pro report, objects, which had likely been delivered by train, appeared at the port where ships are typically loaded before heading to Russia.

“NK Pro reported on 29 February that satellite imagery indicated that Russian ships involved in the maritime transport of North Korean ammunition and weaponry to Russia had not docked at the Rajin port since 12 February,” the ISW said.
