G20 Summit Delhi 2023 Theme, Countries Members and Schedule Live Updates India: The summit will be hosted at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. India assumed the G20 presidency on December 1 last year and about 200 meetings related to G20 were organised in 60 cities across the country.
G20 Summit 2023 kickstarted with the welcome address by PM Narendra Modi. With ‘Bharat’ written on his nameplate, PM Narendra Modi began his welcome address by inviting the Head of the African Union to take his seat, as a permanent member of the G20.
In his welcome speech, PM Narendra Modi batted for ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas’, and called for a global inclusion on the lines of the theme of G20 – Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam.
The G20 (Group of Twenty) comprises 19 individual countries and the European Union. These countries include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
