‘There’s Nothing For Me To Do’: US Cop Admits Mistake After His Speeding Car Kills Indian Student

In a shocking turn of events, newly surfaced bodycam footage has shed light on a heartbreaking incident in January. A Seattle police officer, responding to a call, was caught on camera striking and tragically killing an Indian graduate student.

The distressing video revealed the fatal collision as the 23-year-old Northeast University graduate student innocently crossed the road in a designated crosswalk.

The Seattle police officer, Officer Kevin Dave, later admitted his mistake. He hit and fatally killed a grad student named Jaahnavi Kandula while driving 74 miles per hour without using his siren. He stated, “I f**ked up.”

Officer Kevin Dave was responding to a “high priority” call when the tragic incident occurred at 8 p.m. on January 23.
The New York Post reported the details of the unfortunate event.

Footage released by prosecutors and partially published by PubliCola on Thursday revealed that Officer Dave did not consistently use his siren as he collided with the 23-year-old student in a crosswalk.

As a sign of respect for Kandula’s family, the outlet did not release the video of the moment Officer Dave’s car struck the young woman.
