The suspension of mobile internet, bulk SMS and all dongle services have been extended in Haryana’s Nuh till Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Haryana Home Secretary TVSN Prasad, in an order dated 05.08.2023, said that the mobile internet services, bulk SMS (excluding banking and mobile recharge) and all dongle services will remain shut till 11:59 PM on August 8 to ‘prevent any disturbance of peace and public order’. However, as per the order, individual SMS, mobile recharge, banking SMS, voice calls, internet services provided by broadband and lease lines of corporate and domestic households will continue to function in the ‘commerical/financial interest of State and basic domestic needs of individuals’.

Notably, these services were suspended earlier this week after clashes broke out between two communities during a VHP procession in Nuh leading to days of arson in Haryana.
