Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has launched an online campaign to seek justice for her brother’s death. Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020. While some suspected to be a case of death by suicide, others had alleged foul play. His sister is often seen urging authorities to fasten probe into the actor’s death case.
On Saturday, Shweta Singh Kirti took to her Instagram handle and announced ‘Nany 4 SSR Jan Andolan’. As a part of this campaign, Shweta urged everyone to tie a red cloth on their wrist or forehead, post the video on social media and request agencies to give justice to the late actor. In the caption of her post, SSR’s sister also urged CBI to fasten the probe and “unveil the truth”.
“In about 45 Days We will complete 4 Years of My Brother Sushant’s Demise. I appeal to the CBI to Expedite their inquiry & Unveil the Truth Let us stand together in unity: Tie a red Cloth on your Wrist or Forehead, capture the moment, and share it using #Nyay4SSRJanAndolan,” Shweta Singh Kirti wrote.
Soon after the post was shared, several social media users reacted to it and hoped for “justice for SSR”. “Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput bhaiya. We are with you dii, we want justice for Sushant bhaiya,” one of the users wrote. “Indian politics will hide the truth until Humanity work greater than money,” added another. “4 years! It feels like it happened yesterday,” a third comment read.
In March this year too, Shweta issued a video statement and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the CBI probe regarding her actor-brother’s death. In her statement, Shweta shared that it’s been 45 months since her brother passed away but they still do not have any update from the investigating agency. She argued that Prime Minister Modi’s help will not only fasten the probe but will also provide relief to “howling hearts”.
