Sowmya Janu made a name for herself in the Telugu entertainment industry with her versatile performances. Over the years, she has garnered a huge fanbase. However, she has found herself in legal trouble. As reported by the Free Pree Journal, on Tuesday evening, a video of her allegedly assaulting a traffic home guard who was on duty surfaced on the internet. The incident took place in Hyderabad’s upscale Banjara Hills area. The video of her creating a commotion has been doing the rounds on social media since Sunday.
As reported by the media publication, she was driving her Jaguar car on the wrong route in Banjara Hills. Janu was stopped by the home guard, who was diligently carrying out his duties. Instead of cooperating with him, she became aggressive and started to verbally abuse him for obstructing her route. The report adds that the eyewitnesses recount that despite multiple attempts by the onlookers to intervene, she persisted. The actress even went as far as to physically attack the guard, ripping his clothes, and snatching his phone, with which he was recording the incident.
