Actress Jasmin Bhasin became a household name because of her portrayal of Twinkle Taneja in the serial Tashan-e-Ishq. She recently revealed that she is undergoing treatment after her corneas were damaged. She had reportedly worn lenses during a work event in Delhi on July 17, 2024. Opening up about the entire ordeal, she recalled that she was getting ready for an event. While she didn’t know what was wrong with her lenses, her eyes started hurting after she wore them and the “pain gradually got worse.”
Despite wanting to rush to the doctor, she decided to attend the event first as it was a work commitment. Quoted by the Hindustan Times, she added, “I wore sunglasses at the event, and the team helped me manage things because, after a point, I couldn’t see anything.” The 34-year-old actress explained that when she went to an eye specialist, later the same night, they told her that her corneas were damaged. They even bandaged her eyes.
Bhasin added, “The following day, I rushed to Mumbai and continued my treatment here. I am experiencing a lot of pain. Doctors have told me that I should recover in the next four-five days, but till then, I need to take good care of my eyes. It’s not easy because I can’t see, and I am struggling to even sleep due to the pain. Fortunately, I didn’t have to postpone any of my work. I hope to recover and get back to work in a few days.”
