Veteran actor Sarath Babu, known for his work in the Tamil and Telugu cinema, is no more. The actor, 71, breathed his last on Monday, May 22. Reportedly, Sarath Babu was hospitalised earlier this month and was receiving treatment for age-related issues.
Sarath Babu passes away
It is being said that the veteran actor was undergoing treatment for multi-organ damage at AIG Hospital, Hyderabad. His condition was said to be critical.
A tweet by new agency ANI reads, “Veteran Actor Sarath Babu who worked in several films including Telugu and Tamil passed away today in AIG hospital.”
Earlier this month, news about Sarath Babu’s demise had first circulated on social media. Following this, the veteran actor’s sister rubbished the rumours of his death and said that he was recovering. She had said, “All the news about Sarath Babu on social media are coming wrong. Sarath Babu has recovered a bit and the room has been shifted. I hope that he recovers completely soon and talks to the media. My request is don’t believe any news on social media.
