An inquiry report by a three-member committee of the medical education department with these findings has been submitted to the government, sources in the state government told The Indian Express.

On May 19, the minor allegedly drove a Porsche car at high speed under the influence of alcohol and knocked down a bike, killing two software engineers. There were four people in the car – the minor boy, who was allegedly driving, his driver, and two friends.

The incident led to allegations of a cover-up with politicians, doctors and police officials being embroiled in the controversy.

While the minor boy’s father was arrested, the focus shifted to the involvement of two doctors and a Class IV staffer from B J Government Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital for allegedly throwing the minor’s blood sample in the dustbin and replacing it.

A special investigation team sent to Sassoon General Hospital on Tuesday questioned several officials and viewed CCTV footage.
