Not taking warnings from South Korea and the United Nations resolutions seriously enough, North Korea displayed its usual antics by issuing a formal notice of a satellite launch as early as Wednesday, reported news agency AFP.
There are multiple UN resolutions in place barring North Korea from using ballistic missile technology. Despite that, as per Japan, Pyongyang is all set to launch a rocket-carrying space satellite between November 22 and December 1, 2023.
Japan further shared that North Korea was notified about the satellite launch being in the direction of the Yellow Sea and East China Sea.
The South Koreans have called it a spy satellite. This would be North Korea’s third attempt this year to put the satellite into orbit. Japan’s Coast Guard confirmed North Korea’s ambitious plan to launch the satellite on Tuesday.
