Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, PM Narendra Modi today praised former PM Manmohan Singh. PM Modi was speaking during the farewell of the House’s retiring members.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, commended former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s contribution and said Singh ‘worked even in a wheelchair’.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came while he addressed the House during the farewell of retiring members of the Rajya Sabha.
“I remember in the other House, during the voting, it was known that the treasury bench would win, but Dr Manmohan Singh came in his wheelchair and cast his vote,” Prime Minister Modi said.
“This an example of a member being alert of his duties,” he added.
