Veteran actor Junior Mehmood passed on December 8 in the wee hours after losing his battle with stage 4 stomach cancer. Hw was 67. His family and loved ones gathered for the actor’s last rites in a cemetery in Juhu. After the Friday prayer, the actor was laid to rest at the cemetry. He is survived by his wife, two sons, daughter-in-law, and a grandson.

Born as Naem Sayyed, Junior Mehmood, was laid to rest at the Juhu cemetery on December 8.
A friend of the late actor told ANI,”He was ill for 2 months and initially we thought that he might have some minor problem but after that suddenly his weight started decreasing. And when the medical reports came, it said there was cancer in the liver and lungs and a tumour in the intestine and he has also developed jaundice. The doctors said it’s a stage four cancer.”
Friends, family bid emotional farewell
The late actor’s friends from the industry, including Johny Lever and his family, Raza Murad, playback singer Sudesh Bhosale, Raju Shrestha, Avtar Gill, and Rakesh Bedi, and many others were seen at the funeral.

Previously, when Junior Mehmood’s health deteriorated, the actor had asked his family to make him meet Jeetendra and Sachin Pilgaonkar. As fans would know, Jr Mehmood had starred with Jeetendra in several films. And Sachin is his childhood friend. Soon after Junior Mehmood expressed his will to meet the actors, Jeetendra and Sachin rushed to his home to meet him on Tuesday, December 5.
