Rihanna, Mark Zuckerberg and Ivanka Trump were among the A-list celebrities who came together to celebrate a pre-wedding party hosted by the richest man in Asia, Mukesh Ambani
Celebrities came out in force as the richest man in Asia, billionaire Mukesh Ambani, threw a $150million pre-wedding party for his son Anant Ambani and his bride-to-be Radhika Merchant.
The star-studded event featured 2,000 animals, a fireworks show, and a two-hour performance by Rihanna. The celebration took place at Ambani’s parents’ home in Jamnagar, India. Videos from the extravagant party show Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan chatting to guests Bill Gates and Hillary Clinton.
They were also seen admiring the groom’s $1million Richard Mille watch, which featured Koi Fish models and bezel set diamonds. Priscilla joked she “might want that”, while her husband commented: “You know I never really wanted a watch but after seeing that I was like, ‘watches are cool’.”
Rihanna was reportedly paid $6.3million for her performance, which kicked off the festivities. However, it looks like the singer’s show didn’t impress everyone. Some fans called the concert “lackluster” and “boring”.
A video on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed Rihanna singing songs like All Of The Lights, B**** Better Have My Money, and Work. While she put a lot of effort into her stunning outfit, some fans thought she should have tried harder when singing.
One person said: “I’ve always said she’s an incredibly lazy performer…..she never took the time to improve her performances.” Another critic posted, “Rihanna always been dry and lackluster idk why ppl are surprised,” while a third person added: “She got that coin and said fk y’all ima do what I can.”
The pre-wedding party was huge, with 1,200 guests turning up, including billionaires from around the world, heads of state, and Hollywood and Bollywood royalty. The party lasted for three whole days, from Friday to Sunday.
Mukesh spent a lot of money on the party, forking out a whopping $150million. The food alone cost $20million. A source told the Daily Mail more than 100 cooks came to cater for the party and they made 500 different things to eat over the weekend.
“No expense has been spared for this three-day party. It is a jaw-dropping amount of money but when the Ambanis do something they do it big,” the source said. And the fun certainly didn’t stop there.
Guests were also treated to a fancy cocktail party, a festival, and even a wildlife walk with elephants, big cats, and reptiles. However, there were some rules guests had to follow.
