Celine released the trailer for her new documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, which drops June 25.

The singer took a break from performing but has been filming behind the scenes with Amazon to share her health struggle.

Stiff Person Syndrome affects the nervous system and can cause painful spasms that worsen over time.

In the trailer for I Am: Celine Dion, the singer broke down in tears over her condition and vowed that she would crawl to her shows.

“I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder and I wasn’t ready to say anything before,” she told the camera.

“But I’m ready now.”

EMOTIONAL CONFESSIONS
In the trailer the audio from a 911 call could be heard over several shots of Celine taking medication.

Celine got emotional after saying she had to cancel shows due to her bad health.

“It’s not hard to do a show, it’s hard to cancel a show,” she said through tears.

“I’m working hard every day but I have to admit, it’s been a struggle. I miss it so much, the people, I miss them.”

“If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. But I won’t stop,” she added.

THE DIAGNOSIS
Celine first revealed that she was suffering from the condition in 2022, when she was forced to cancel several concert dates.

She told fans she was suffering from a rare autoimmune condition and then took a step away from the spotlight.

Celine shared an Instagram photo beside her three sons, René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy, who she shares with late husband René Angélil on Stiff Person Syndrome day.

“Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible,’ she captioned the post.

“I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!

“I want to send my encouragement and support to all those around the world that have been affected by SPS. I want you to know you can do it! We can do it! Love Celine xx…” she concluded.

Her documentary is a way of showing her battle with the syndrome which is not widely known to the public.

There is currently no known cure, and Celine is hoping to get back into performing.

According to the Amazon listing, the show described the documentary as an intimate look into Celine’s private battle.

“I Am: Celine Dion gives us a raw and honest behind-the-scenes look at the iconic superstar’s struggle with a life-altering illness,” it read.

“Serving as a love letter to her fans, this inspirational documentary highlights the music that has guided her life while also showcasing the resilience of the human spirit.”
