External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has questioned the absence of an Indian ambassador and embassy in Israel until 1992 during a forum in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

He highlighted the significance of faith in shaping policy decisions, citing India’s delayed establishment of diplomatic ties with Israel despite officially recognizing the country in 1950.

“Think of a country like Israel, people speak today, saying everybody is the same and we should not bring faith into any discussion.
