A 64-year-old woman and her daughter were murdered and their valuable possessions were looted by two accused individuals, who have been arrested, in East Delhi’s Krishna Nagar on Sunday. The two had code-named their plan – ‘Mission Malamal’, according to the police.

The police were informed on Wednesday about a foul smell coming from a flat on the first floor of a building in Krishna Nagar’s E block after which they reached the spot. Upon arrival, they found the two dead bodies and the house completely ransacked.

He got in touch with Rajrani after registering himself in a website that offers tutor service. Rajrani needed a computer for her differently-abled daughter, Meena said.

Slowly Kishan gained the trust of the two women as he used visit their house to teach her daughter. Rajrani and her daughter wanted to shift to a new home and they shared their bank details with Kishan who they had asked for help. With the details, Kishan  found out that there was over Rs 50 Lakh in their accounts. That is when he made a plan to kill the two, DCP Meena informed.

After failing to transfer the money from the victims’ back accounts to some other accounts because net banking and ATM facility was not available in those accounts, Kishan on May 17 hatched a plan to loot them and the conspiracy – “Misson Malamal”. Kishan enlisted the help of cousin Ankit Kumar Singh who came to Delhi from Assam where he had gone to attend his sister’s wedding.
