Sharing a major update on Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha, party leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said that he is in the United Kingdom for an eye surgery.
Bharadwaj told news agency ANI that there was some complication in his eyes. “…I was told that it was quite critical that he might have lost his eyesight as well,” he added.
Bharadwaj further said, “He has gone there to get treatment. I have my best wishes with him. He will be back soon in good health and will join the campaign (for Lok Sabha polls).”
Despite being physically absent from the field, Chadha has been active on social media, giving response and comments on the political happenings and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest.
Following the AAP national convenor’s arrest, Chadha had also posted a video saying that “You will arrest Kejriwal’s body, but you will not be able to arrest his thoughts.”
He had also joined the AAP’s display picture (DP) campaign and put ‘Kejriwal behind bars’ as his profile picture.
Recently, amid Kejriwal’s insulin row, Chadha again had posted on X, saying “Arvind Kejriwal has been a diabetic patient for many years. Kejriwal is on 54 units of insulin every day. It is being said that the administration in the jail is not giving him insulin.”
“This is extremely inhumane and against prison rules,” he added.
On April 28, the Delhi CM’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, took the reigns to campaign for the AAP in the absence of the party chief. In her first-ever in the national capital, Sunita held a road show in the East Delhi constituency.
