CBSE Results: ‘Delhi govt schools surpassed CBSE’s national average,’ lauds Arvind Kejriwal

CBSE 10th, 12th Results 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today (May 13) declared the Class 10 and 12 results for board exams 2024.

In terms of region-wise performance, Delhi government schools have recorded a pass percentage of 96.99 per cent. “Not only does this surpass our own performance of last year, but it surpasses the CBSE national average as well,” the Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted on X (earlier known as Twitter). The overall pass percentage of CBSE Class 12 has been recorded at 87.98 per cent.

As per the data shared by Kejriwal, Delhi government schools have improved their pass percentage from 91.59 per cent in 2022-23 to 96.99 per cent in 2023-24.

According to the data shared by CBSE, Delhi West region recorded pass percentage of 95.64 per cent, while Delhi East recorded pass percentage of 94.51 per cent.

This year, the CBSE has also noticed an increase in the overall pass percentage. This year’s pass percentage is 87.98 per cent which is 0.65 per cent higher than previous year’s 87.33 per cent. Of the 16,33,730 students who registered for the CBSE Class 12 exams this year, as many as 16,21,224 students appeared. Of them, 14,26,420 students passed the exams. The pass percentage in Class 10 has been recorded at 93.60 percent, a rise of 0.48 percentage points from last year.
