By Himanshu Mishra: Two students killed their classmate after the latter caught them smoking. The body of the 12-year-old boy was found dumped in a drain near a government school in Badarpur, Delhi.

The deceased boy was a Class 8 student at MCD school, Tajpur Pahari, New Delhi.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The police were informed about the incident by a PCR call on April 27 at 8.20 pm. The police soon reached the spot and found the boy’s body in a drain.

When a police team reached the spot between the Khatushyam park and Tajpur Road village, the body of the boy in a school uniform was found lying in a drain. A schoolbag containing textbooks and other study material was also found at the spot. At a distance of about six yards from the schoolbag, four-five blood-stained stones and a blood-stained cotton towel were also found, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Rajesh Deo said.

On an inspection of the body, multiple head injuries, apparently caused by a blunt object, were noticed. The presence of the blood-stained stones nearby indicated that the stones were possibly used in the commission of the crime, the Delhi Police said.

The body has been shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) mortuary for post-mortem.

The identity of the boy was confirmed by his family. They said the boy had gone to school on Thursday but did not return home after classes were over. They soon launched a search for him, failing which, they informed the police about the same. Sometime later, the body of the young boy was found by the police.
