Bengaluru Rains Break 133-Year Record with Highest Downpour In A Single Day In June

Bangalore Rains: According to a post shared on platform X by @Bnglrweatherman, Bengaluru has broken a 133-year-old record for the highest single-day rainfall in June. Surpassing the month’s average of 110.3mm, the city has seen an unprecedented 140.7mm of rainfall over the past two days.

Bengaluru is experiencing thundershowers as the Southwest Monsoon hits Karnataka leading to widespread rainfall across its coastal regions. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the city, predicting a cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers on Monday. The downpour is anticipated to persist until June 5.

Weekly Forecast Bengaluru 

The Silicon valley of India is expected to witness generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers from June 2-5. Further rainfall is also expected on June 8th and 9th, according to the weekly forecast by the weather department.
