‘Arvind Kejriwal In Grip Of Serious Diseases, Lost 8.5 Kgs Since Arrest,’ Alleges AAP; BJP Hits Back

Arvind Kejriwal was granted interim bail by Supreme Court on Friday, however, he continues to remain in Tihar as he has been arrested by the CBI in a related case.
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that the Centre is conspiring to harm Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s health by keeping him in jail. Alleging that Kejriwal is not getting the required medical attention, AAP leader Atishi alleged that the party supremo has lost over 8.5 kilos.
Addressing a press conference, Delhi minister Atishi said that Kejriwal is facing acute danger in judicial custody, adding that in the last few weeks, his blood sugar levels have dipped to a “dangerous level”.
“Arvind Kejriwal has been suffering from acute diabetes for 30 years. He is a serious diabetic patient. In the last few weeks, his sugar level has fallen to very dangerous levels many times,” said AAP leader Atishi.
Atishi’s Big Allegation
“The BJP’s conspiracy is not just to put Arvind Kejriwal in jail, rather it is a conspiracy to harm his health. It is a conspiracy to kill Arvind Kejriwal,” said Atishi. “There is an acute danger to his health. His weight has declined by 8.5 kgs and his sugar levels have fallen below 50 five times in sleep. This is a worrying situation, especially for a diabetic,” she added.
Atishi asked who would take the responsibility if Kejriwal suffered from brain damage. “If Kejriwal suffers a stroke, if there is brain damage and permanent damage, who will be responsible,” she said, claiming the AAP chief is unable to get proper medical attention as he is in jail.
