Shah said that the caste survey deliberately exaggerated the Muslim and Yadav population as part of ‘appeasement politics’ and emphasised that decision to conduct the caste survey was made while the Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) was a part of NDA.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday, November 5, delivered a scathing attack at Bihar’s Nitish Kumar government, saying that the caste survey deliberately exaggerated the Muslim and Yadav population as part of ‘appeasement politics’. He emphasized that the decision to conduct the caste survey was made while the Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) was a part of NDA.
“The alliance partners (Grand Alliance) call themselves the well-wishers of backward classes. I want to tell them to not fall for what they say. The decision to conduct the caste survey in Bihar was taken when the JD(U) was part of the NDA. But the way the survey was conducted reveals the ulterior design of the Mahagathbandhan government… population of Muslims and Yadavas were deliberately inflated during the exercise,” he said, while addressing a public rally in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur.
He alleged the Mahagathbandhan government of indulging in politics of appeasement and not being interested in the welfare of people belonging to other backward communities.
“There are two types of ‘JAM’. For BJP, JAM is Jan Dhan account, Aadhaar and Mobile. For Bihar government, JAM is Jativad and Parivarvad, Apradh, and Minority appeasement,” Shah added.
Shah did not mince the words, alleging that the sole agenda of the INDI alliance was to oppose Prime Minister Modi, and during their time in power, the opposition engaged in corrupt practices worth crores. “..The INDI alliance has only one agenda to oppose PM Modi. When they were in power they did corruption amounting to Rs 12 Lakh crore…” he said.
He held Nitish Kumar responsible for what he described as a ‘Gundaraaj’ (rule of goons) in Bihar, and said, “Nitish Kumar should stop dreaming about becoming the next PM… that will never happen. The INDIA alliance did not even make him its convener. He is responsible for bringing back ‘Gundaraaj’ in Bihar. ‘Paltu Ram’ (person who frequently changes stance) betrayed people’s mandate by joining the Mahagathbandhan in 2022,” he added.
