A passenger found herself offloaded from an international flight out of India due to alleged rudeness towards the cabin crew. The woman was reportedly travelling on Air India’s Delhi-London flight, scheduled for March 5th.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the flyer’s behaviour on the flight made both crew and fellow passengers uncomfortable. Reports suggest that she engaged in a verbal altercation with the cabin crew, prompting concerns about potential disturbances during the nearly nine-hour journey. As a result, the captain made the decision to offload her from the flight, prioritising the safety and comfort of all passengers and crew.

Airline’s Response

An Air India spokesperson confirmed the incident, emphasising the airline’s commitment to upholding safety standards. “A passenger travelling in business class was offboarded on the advice of the Captain, following some argument with members of the crew before the scheduled pushback,” the spokesperson stated. The altercation caused a delay of approximately one hour for the flight.

The woman indicated her urgent need to reach London but the airline stood firm on its policies against unruly behaviour. “It does not matter whether a passenger is a common citizen or a prominent person. For us, the safety of all our flyers and crew is of paramount importance,” a source within Air India remarked.
