A 120-foot-tall temple chariot collapsed at Anekal town near Bengaluru on Saturday, during the annual chariot fair of Huskur Madduramma temple.

The structure, built for a religious and cultural event, collapsed but narrowly missed hitting an electric pole and a group of devotees who quickly moved to safety.

Thousands of devotees, from over 10 villages, were participating in the annual temple fair when the incident occurred. No injuries were reported.

A video capturing the collapse of the chariot has since gone viral, showing the tense moment when the structure came crashing down.

The viral video shows the decorated structure, pulled by bulls, collapsing. It narrowly misses a large electric pole and kicks up dust, making some animals uneasy. Devotees were trying to raise the chariot using ropes tied to all sides when it lost balance and fell to the ground. Spectators can be seen running to safety in the footage.
