As per the PTI, the cancellation occurred because the senior Congress leader had to rush to Delhi to participate in the ongoing farmers’ protest in the national capital.
Farmers’ Protest Day 2
As the farmers’ protest enter day two, it resumed on Wednesday morning at 9 AM after the ‘kisan andolan’ march was reportedly halted for a night on Tuesday.
As per the latest visuals from Shambhu Border, tear gas shells have been fired to disperse the farmers who were approaching the Police barricade. Early Wednesday morning visuals show the security arrangements at the Gazipur Border as the farmers resumed the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march towards the National Capital.
During the farmers’ protest, 24 police personnel, including a deputy superintendent of police, were injured, officials told PTI. Meanwhile, the farmers’ unions have said around 100 farmers were injured during the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on Tuesday as they faced tear gas and water cannons at the Punjab-Haryana border.
