OJ Simpson, controversial media personality and former NFL player, died on Wednesday, April 10, his family announced on social media. The 76-year-old was suffering from prostate cancer. He died in Las Vegas, officials there said Thursday.
Simpson’s death has sparked several conspiracy theories, one of them linking his cancer to the COVID-19 vaccine. Social media users are claiming that the vaccine shot led to the 76-year-old’s death. #TurboCancer is trending on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.
However, there is no evidence to prove that the coronavirus vaccine causes cancer.
“OJ Simpson telling everybody to get their Covid shots like he did. Now he’s dead of #TurboCancer. I didn’t think anything could kill this guy. And I feel no guilt using him as an example,” one person tweeted.
“OJ Simpson on getting the COVID vaccine. Simpson just passed away at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer,” another one added.
