“We’ve taken care of business and we can prepare now to get the most out of ourselves,” says captain Leah Williamson.
The Lionesses have qualified for the European Championships after drawing 0-0 away to Sweden.
The stalemate in Gothenburg secured them the point required to confirm their place in next year’s tournament.
However, the game ended up a largely uneventful affair and meant England failed to score for the first time in nearly a year.
The Swedish goalkeeper had to make just two saves – Lucy Bronze heading straight at Zecira Musovic, while Georgia Stanway also twice went close.
Meanwhile, sub Rosa Kafaji was unlucky not to get a second-half penalty for the Swedes after a challenge from Leah Williamson.
England captain Williamson told ITV Sport: “They changed tactics, have different threats including height but I think we stood firm and stayed true.
“We couldn’t play the football we wanted in the second half, which put us under a lot of pressure.”
