Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one helluva filmmaker. He is known for his grandiose films, amazing music, beautiful love stories in films and also for his temper or strictness on set while filming. Several movie stars have talked about the temper issue of SLB. Some of the celebrities have also defended the filmmaker over the same. And now, coming to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s defence is Shekhar Suman, who will be seen in SLB’s debut web series called Heeramandi: The Diamon Bazaar.
Shekhar Suman defends Heeramandi maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his temper issues
Shekhar asks how it matters if the filmmaker is short-tempered. “He has every right to be. Why does he get angry? He’s not a madman, but he is a perfectionist,” Shekhar Suman, who plays Zulfiqaar in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar tells Siddharth Kannan. He defends the filmmaker saying that perfectionists tend to be short-tempered because they get impatient with others for not being at the same level as them. Suman shares that he knows a lot of people who are legends in their crafts and are short-tempered. He takes the names of K Asif, Mehboob Khan and even Raj Kapoor.
Shekhar Suman says that it doesn’t matter what people say about Sanjay Leela Bhansali adding that he has every right to be angry. The actor shares he would in fact want SLB to be angrier if the results (outcome) are so good. Suman asks to look at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s work which is not just for the audience but also for the posterity.
Adhyayan Suman also comes to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s defence
Adhyayan Suman who plays Zoravar in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar says that SLB treats everyone on sets like his children. He says that one cannot imagine how the filmmaker might portray or interpret a scene. And by the time the actors come on set, the entire scene has been changed. Adhyayan also adds to the statements of celebs calling SLB an institution saying there cannot be a better film school. However, he does add, “If you’ve survived Bhansali, you can handle anything.” Adhyayan was very worried about messing up on his first day. He had locked himself up inside the bathroom and Shekhar had to come to his rescue. SLB was impressed with Adhyayan’s Urdu pronunciation and guessed that Shekhar had helped him.
