Former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam slammed the Congress MP for the behaviour and said, “Those who do not know that sipped water is not poured on the head…do not realise Indian culture, tradition & legacy must first understand India and then comment about India’s PM,” he said.
New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi poured water on his head during a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria after he experienced intense heat while delivering speech. He drank water from a bottle and said it is too hot, and then poured water on his head from the bottle amid loud cheers from the crowd.
“Garm hai kaafi (it’s too hot),” Gandhi said and poured water on his head.
Rahul Gandhi was addressing the rally in support of Sadal Prasad, the Congress candidate from Bansgaon (SC) Lok Sabha seat.
