The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory related to restrictions on movement of vehicles at the borders of the national capital ahead of the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on February 13.
Check the advisory here.
In view of the farmers’ ‘Chalo Delhi’ march scheduled for February 13, the Delhi Police on Sunday issued a traffic advisory, alerting commuters about restrictions on the movement of vehicles at three borders of the national capital.
Several farmer associations, mostly from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, have called for the march on February 13 to demand a law guaranteeing MSP for their produce, one of the conditions they had set when they agreed to withdraw their agitation in 2021.
Traffic restrictions and diversions will be imposed for commercial vehicles from Monday and for all types of vehicles from Tuesday, as per the advisory.
Interstate buses that typically travel via NH-44 towards northern cities like Sonipat, Panipat, and Karnal will be re-routed through alternative paths involving ISBT, Majnu Ka Tilla, Signature Bridge, Khajuri Chowk, Loni Border, and the KMP Expressway via Khekra.
Traffic Advisory
In view of the proposed farmers’ protest at various borders of Delhi from 13.02.2024, traffic will be affected.
For commercial vehicles, traffic restrictions/diversions will be imposed from 12.02.2024.
