Yogi Cabinet 2.0: Adityanath includes fresh faces, drops 24 ministers from first term of BJP govt in Uttar Pradesh
With Yogi Adityanath taking oath as Uttar Pradesh chief minister for the second term, his Cabinet saw a rejig. Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were included in the Yogi Cabinet 2.0 as Deputy CMs, while a few prominent ministers in the first term, including Satish Mahana, Shrikant Sharma, Dinesh Sharma and Siddharth Nath Singh, were dropped from the new government in the state.
Yogi Adityanath took oath as Uttar Pradesh chief minister for the second term on Friday and became the first CM in 37 years to take the reins of the most populous state for a second time in a row after completing his full five-year term.
Adityanath was sworn in by Governor Anandiben Patel in a jam-packed Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, the venue having the capacity to accommodate 50,000 people.

A total of 24 ministers from the first term of the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh were dropped from Yogi Cabinet 2.0.
Meanwhile, 52 other ministers took oath in the Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on Friday. It included former official in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Arvind Kumar Sharma. The IAS-turned politician worked with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for 18 years, and he is also referred to as ‘Modi’s Man’ in political circles.
