One of the most highly anticipated boxing matches of the year is finally upon us.
YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul goes head-to-head with former undisputed heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Friday evening.
Although Paul was prepared to go full steam ahead for the original July fight date, Tyson suffered a medical emergency in May and the matchup was ultimately postponed.
Since his 2020 boxing debut, 27-year-old “El Gallo” Paul has gone 10-1 with seven wins by knockout.
Meanwhile, 58-year-old “Baddest Man on the Planet” Tyson has a legendary boxing career dating back to 1985 until his 2005 retirement, with a record of 50 wins, six losses, and two no-contests.
Paul’s most recent match was a July 2024 sixth-round TKO win over Mike Perry, while Tyson’s was a November 2020 exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. that was declared a draw.
Netflix covered the lead-up to the event in its Ice-T-narrated sports docu-series, “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson,” which dropped its first two episodes on Nov. 7 and a final episode on Nov. 12.
The show also highlighted the build-up to Paul and Tyson’s co-main event: A rematch between undisputed super lightweight champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano.
When does “Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson” premiere?
The “Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson” headline fight will take place on Nov. 15, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET. The preliminary fight featuring Taylor vs. Serrano will begin at 5:30 p.m. ET.
The bouts will go down live, so if you live in a different time zone, plan your viewing accordingly.
