The film festival, which began on May 14, will conclude on May 25 with a final honorary award for Star Wars creator George Lucas
Actresses Urvashi Rautela, Deepti Sadhwani and entrepreneur Namita Thapar looked stunning in gowns at this year’s Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday.
Urvashi dazzled in a pink Khaled and Marwan gown, featuring a ruffled tulle shrug and a lacy thigh-high slit. A bejeweled headband, silver bangles with leaf motifs and pink stilettos completed her look. “Festival de Cannes 2024 OPENING CEREMONY with my ultimate fav #MERYLSTREEP,” the 30-year-old actress captioned her pictures posted on Instagram.

Urvashi mentioned Hollywood veteran Meryl Streep’s name in her posts. Streep received an honorary Palme d’Or at the opening ceremony of Cannes and she will be hosting a masterclass as well.
Last year, Urvashi walked the Cannes red carpet multiple times. She looked stunning in a corset gown with peacock feathers cascading down the skirt while walking the red carpet at the screening of Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny. A striking blue lip shade complemented her look.

Sadhwani, known for her role in the popular Indian TV comedy series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, turned heads in a blazing orange off-shoulder gown which has broken records for having the longest trail. Featuring a sweeping furry trail, the gown is from the shelves of Aanchal Dey Couture.
“Honoured to be walking the red carpet for the Opening ceremony of 77th Cannes Film Festival with the record breaking longest trail of gown,” Deepti wrote alongside a picture of her posing for the lens.
