If we had to guess what the most requested feature on Twitter is, we would probably say it’s the ability to edit tweets. Over four months after confirming it is working on an edit button, social media giant Twitter has finally started rolling out the much-awaited feature.
Twitter has confirmed in a tweet that it has started testing the edit button and users will now be able to see edited tweets.
“if you see an edited Tweet it’s because we’re testing the edit button. this is happening and you’ll be okay,” Twitter said in its tweet.
An edit button was one of the features Tesla cofounder Elon Musk had asked users if they wanted, soon after Musk revealed in a regulatory filing that he hold a 9.2% stake in the platform. Musk had conducted a poll which head received over 4.4 million votes and an overwhelming 73.6% of the users had said that they wanted an edit button.
