Tamil veteran actor Bharathiraja’s son Manoj Bharathiraja who was also an actor passed away on Tuesday at the age of 48. He suffered a cardiac arrest at his house in Chennai. The later actor had worked in multiple Tamil films like Taj Mahal, Samudhiram, Kadal Pookkal, Alli Arjuna,a nd others. Kamal Haasan, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, and many other celebs took to social media to mourn his demise.
Veteran actor Bharathiraja’s son Manoj Bharathiraja who was also an actor passed away on Tuesday. The 48-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence in Chetpet, Chennai. He was recovering from recent bypass surgery. Manoj prominently worked in Tamil films and made his debut as an actor with the 1999 release Taj Mahal. He was later seen in movies Samudhiram, Kadal Pookkal, Alli Arjuna, Eera Nilam, Annakodi, Baby, and others.
In 2023, he made his directorial debut with the film Margazhi Thingal which starred his father Bharathiraja along with newcomers. The movie had done an average business at the box office.

A lot of celebs are in shock that Manoj Bharathiraja passed away at such a young age. Kamal Haasan posted on X, “I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear the news of the passing of Manoj Bharathiraja, the son of actor and my soulmate director Bharathiraja. I express my deepest condolences to Bharathiraja, his family, and friends, who are grieving the loss of their beloved son.”
