As per the order, the complainant has requested for “issuance of directions under section 156 (3) of Cr P C for registration of above offences against accused persons.”
On the day of the incident, dated September 4, 2019, “A dispute took place between complainant and proposed accused person. The investigating officer has quoted that offences under section 504, 506 of Indian Penal Code have been made out against accused persons.”
For the unversed Section 504 of the Indian Penal Code states that whoever intentionally insults, and thereby gives provocation to any person, intending or knowing it to be likely that such provocation will cause him to break the public peace, or to commit any other offence, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years or with fine, or with both. Meanwhile, Section 506 states, whoever commits the offence of criminal intimidation shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both; If threat be to cause death or grievous hurt, etc.
