Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti reveals she broke down on Friday (June 14) morning i.e. on her brother’s fourth death anniversary. She was speaking to Instant Bollywood when she opened up about delayed justice and mentioned that the family is still in pain. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. While some suspected it to be a case of death by suicide, others had alleged foul play. His sister has been fighting for justice ever since.
“I have complaints because we have shown so much patience. In a way, we call a spiritual being Dheera. And we all kept demanding with so much patience. But it’s been 4 years and we haven’t found anything yet. So, there is pain. When I woke up this morning, I was crying the whole time. After getting up, I always meditate in the morning. But today, I was just crying,” she said.
Earlier in the day, Shweta also kept a prayer meeting at her Mumbai residence for Sushant. She also took to her Instagram handle to pen down an emotional note and asked for justice for her brother. Shweta “pleaded” authorities to probe what happened on June 14, 2020, and shared that she feels like giving up now.
“Bhai, it has been 4 years since you left us, and we still don’t know what transpired on June 14, 2020. Your death remains a mystery. I feel helpless and have pleaded with the authorities countless times for the truth. I’m losing my patience and feel like giving up. But today, for one last time, I want to ask everyone who can help with the case to put your hand on your heart and ask yourself: don’t we deserve to know what happened to our brother Sushant? Why has it become a political agenda? Why can’t it be as straightforward as stating what was found that day and what is believed to have happened? PLEASE, I am requesting and pleading—help us move forward as a family. Give us the closure we deserve,” she wrote.
