A private tuition teacher brutally thrashed two minor sisters with a plastic pipe for not completing their homework in Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area.
In this regard, the Delhi Commission for Women has issued a notice to Delhi Police. The Commission received a complaint regarding the brutal beating meted out to the two minor girls, aged six and eight respectively, by their tuition teacher.
The father of the girls informed the Commission that his two daughters study tuition from a teacher in their neighborhood. On the evening of August 31 when the girls returned from their tuition, they were crying profusely, and one girl even became unconscious. On enquiry, the girls informed that their tuition teacher had beaten them brutally for not completing their homework.
They stated that the teacher had locked them inside a room and thrashed them with a plastic pipe. There were several bruises on their body and the girls were taken to a hospital where they were treated.
The Commission has taken this matter seriously and has issued a notice to Delhi Police seeking action against the teacher. The Commission has sought a copy of the FIR along with the status of the arrest of the accused. The Commission has asked the Delhi Police to take action latest by September 6.
