Saurabh Rajput was brutally murdered allegedly by his wife and her lover in Meerut, after which the duo were arrested.
A new video has surfaced in connection with the Meerut murder case, showing Saurabh Rajput travelling on a bike with his friend in the city, shortly before he was murdered allegedly by his wife Muskan Rastogi, and her lover Sahil Shukla on March 4.
The CCTV footage, that came to the fore days after his brutal murder, showed Saurabh and his friend on the bike entering a street at 11.49 pm on March 3.
Hours later, he was killed allegedly by his wife and her lover, and his body was chopped into pieces and sealed inside a drum, and cement was filled up.
The couple then went on a 10-day trip to the mountains in Himachal Pradesh. As they returned from the trip, they were arrested by the police and sent to judicial custody.
Saurabh had recently returned from London where he worked. He was married to Muskan since 2016 and had a six-year-old daughter.
Muskan and Sahil had plotted to eliminate Saurabh from their way in November last year so that they could be together.
Saurabh was allegedly drugged before murder. As he went unconscious, Muskan stabbed a knife into her husband’s chest – an action which was confirmed in the autopsy report, which said that the man was stabbed with extreme force thrice.
The report further said that Saurabh’s head was severed, hands cut off and legs bent. After the murder, they booked a cab and set off to Himachal Pradesh on a vacation.
During this period, Muskan misled Saurabh’s family by sending messages from his phone. They were seen attending a Holi party in a viral video.
