Rs 85 lakh in cash recovered from govt clerk’s home in Madhya Pradesh during police raid

The MP Police recovered Rs 85 lakh in cash from the residence of a clerk during a raid in a disproportionate assets case.

Madhya Pradesh Police recovered Rs 85 lakh in cash from the residence of a state government clerk on Wednesday. The money was recovered during raid carried out by the Madhya Pradesh Economic Offences Wing (EOW) probing a disproportionate assets case.

The EOW officials reached the residence of Hero Keswani, a clerk in the state Medical Education Department, on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Hero Keswani fell ill after the EOW officials reached his residence to conduct searches. He had to be admitted to hospital for treatment. Due to ill health, the officials were unable to interrogate Hero Keswani.
