Raj Kapoor@100: A centenary celebration in grand style

As part of the grand celebration, R.K. Films, the Film Heritage Foundation, and NFDC-National Film Archive of India are presenting Raj Kapoor 100—Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman.

‘Mayanagari’ Mumbai to shine bright from December 13 as the Indian cinema along with the Kapoor family members join hands together to celebrate Raj Kapoor’s centenary celebrations. Organised at the PVR Infinity Mall in Andheri, the event will witness a dazzling evening with several celebrities gathering under one roof to honour the legacy of Raj Kapoor, a pioneer of the golden era.

This gala event will bring together the Kapoor clan, including stalwarts like Randhir Kapoor and younger stars such as Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt. Their participation highlights their deep pride in carrying forward Raj Kapoor’s extraordinary legacy.

Apart from the Kapoors, the event will see some of the biggest names in showbiz. The guest list includes industry veterans like Rekha and Jeetendra, celebrated filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rajkumar Hirani and Karan Johar, as superstars like Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol.

As part of the grand celebration, R.K. Films, the Film Heritage Foundation, and NFDC-National Film Archive of India are presenting Raj Kapoor 100 – Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman. This festival will feature curated screenings of ten iconic Raj Kapoor films across 40 cities and 135 cinemas, including PVR-Inox and Cinepolis theaters. Tickets are priced at an accessible ₹100, reflecting Raj Kapoor’s belief in inclusivity and his vision to make cinema a universal experience.
